Here comes Halloween, with its ghosties so scary

Leering jack o’lanterns and werewolves most hairy.

I’ve run from the clutches of vampires aplenty,

And terrifying aliens I’ve escaped from about twenty.

During the curtain of night with mischief abounding,

I screech and cry at images astounding.

I’m afraid of hexes, the weapons of witches.

I faint when I spy Frankenstein’s face with black stitches.

When the wind ruffles my hair, I wail, “It’s a bat!”

My heart races when I cross paths with a smirking black cat.

Even the sight of little Vaders cause heart palpitation

As well as by spooks running around in candy anticipation.

Shivers and shocks resonate up my spine

“You’re scaring me terribly!” I whine.

But of all these visions, there is one more frightening

More sweat gland overaction, more grip-tightening,

More scream-inducing, more visibly stocking,

I’m going as a sausage, my flesh crammed in a body stocking!
